Knicks center Trey
Jemison is a devout Christian whose poor play on
Clemson's basketball team nearly cost him a future in the NBA. His
faith grew in college, but his average points per game fell to a
dismal 0.4 during his freshman year and 1.7 during his sophomore
season.
Jemison was ready to quit – but he turned to God instead.
"There's no way I should be in the NBA," he has said. "I'm
in a place I shouldn't have been because of God."
His career survived the slow start, and Jemison now plays for the New
York Knicks. One way he shares the Gospel is by hosting short,
interactive Bible studies on Instagram. He makes God's Word easy to
understand, encouraging his 34,000+ followers to read along with him
and urges people to apply Scripture to their own lives.
