appreciating everything

What you focus on in life, you’ll get. If you focus on trouble long enough it will only develop into more trouble and more problems and more drama. Whatever you focus on gets larger and larger in your life and it’ll get larger and larger to the point where it’ll make your life get completely out of whack and out of balance.

If you’re constantly focusing on how bad your life is, you’re not only making it harder for you to keep positive people in your life, or people in your life period. You are also making it harder for yourself to see the bigger picture of how wonderful God has made your life. If you look at what’s wrong with your life, it can actually get to the point where you actually hate your life.

You may think that you have the absolute worst life, ever, because of your circumstances, while someone else might actually be thinking you have the absolute best life ever compared to theirs. They could be begging for your life to be theirs because they absolutely want a better life, but have no way to get to it, or they don’t know how to achieve even one of the good things that they see you have in your life.

Think about it, a lot of people are envious, and jealous of the good things you have in your life, even when you think, “oh man my life is so messed up and so miserable”, someone out there sees what you have and is in the process of thinking, “man that person has it good. They are well off. Man, I wish I had their lifestyle, and all they can do is complain about it. What I give to have their life. Even for one minute.” There is always, always someone out there who has it worse than you. So be thankful for what you have in life, no matter how bad things may seem.

When someone else says you have it well off or that you’re well off in your life, listen to them. Or ask them what they’re talking about. You see, they’re seeing the great stuff in your life such as a family, a job (even if you don’t like it or hate it), an apartment, a house or financial security or friends, as something that they want and that you’re already blessed with. Someone else will see the stuff that you don’t like about your life in a completely different light and in a completely different perspective because they’re seeing the great stuff that you quit focusing on a long time ago, because you’re so into focusing on stuff that you don’t like, can’t stand or even hate about your life.

If you continue to focus on things you the in your life, you will eventually hate literally everything about your life and you’ll become one miserable person. You’ll become someone that nobody wants to be around. You will lose yourself in your own misery and your own negativity. When you’re focusing on the things that you don’t like in your life, you will literally forget what you actually do like about your life.

If someone ever tells you that they wish you had your life, take that to heart and talk to them about it. They normally mean it. Someone can see your life as amazing while you’re focusing on the negativity in life. Talk to them about it without venting about how bad your life is, and hopefully, you’ll gain a new perspective on your life. Ask what the person who wants to have your life, what they love or like most about your life. Ask them why they want your life so much and what they want to make the most out of their life.

Take a step back and realize how blessed you are. Remember your blessings. No life is that bad. Your life isn’t that bad. You’re going to get what you focus on. So why look at things in a negative way? Try focusing on your blessings instead of your problems.  Each day is a blessing.  So focus on the great things you have no matter how difficult things may get. Focus on the fact that you have a God that is bigger than all of your negative and your troubles and ask Him to take away the negative thoughts that hinder you. Try and focus on being happy no matter what happens and be glad about each new day of life.
