The week begins with a Full Moon at 11 degrees Capricorn. Full Moons always contain some potential for agitation, but this one is relatively nicely aspected as it receives a sextile from Saturn and a trine from Jupiter. That’s good news because given the tendency a Full Moon has to make things blow up.

On the other hand, this is also a Supermoon, which appears larger and brighter than usual. If you live in one of the many parts of the world experiencing smoke from forest fires, look at that big ol’ Moon, glowing red from all the refraction. Suggested meditative focus: look up at that angry red Moon and contemplate how much of humanity has neglected warnings from climatologists for decades that things like “huge increases in forest fires” would happen if we didn’t smarten up.

There are some other pretty challenging aspects happening this week. Venus and Mars are conjunct in the later degrees of Leo, and they are both square Uranus at 21 Taurus. A Venus-Mars conjunction can make for lively good times and amplified sex drives. However, the square aspect to describe Uranus makes for a serious wildcard. Tread lightly on (or around) the wants and needs of others, and try not to be too demanding of yourself or others.

One way to avoid potential negatives is to lean on logic — and that means we need to look at what Mercury is up to. It’s heading out of Cancer before it arrives in Leo, and on the way out it gets a sextile from Uranus and a trine from Neptune. That should give your thought processes some creative aid and assistance. But again, caution against impulsiveness: Mercury is also drifting into the opposition to Pluto. Make sure your brilliant ideas don’t involve firearms or explosives.
