THIS WEEK: This week Mars spans the distance from 12 and a half degrees to 15 and a half degrees Aries. Yes, that’s right: Mars is slowing down in preparation for the retrograde. Check your helmet and safety gear!

Mars completes the square to the July 5th Eclipse point at 13 degrees Cancer and Capricorn on Monday/Tuesday. Take a look at what House of your birth chart that falls into — there could be sudden surprises in that department of your life.

Be careful about who and what you direct angry words at, as Mars is now approaching the square to Mercury in Cancer. And remember: even if you don’t blow your stack, someone near you might.

WHO WINS/WHO LOSES?: Any major planets or placements in your birth chart between 7 and 18 degrees of the Fire Signs (Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius) will feel a distinct boost. Your Air Sign placements (Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius) will receive a less obvious (but still real) shot of energy — although for Libra, it may not be that comfortable. Any major birth chart placements in or around those degrees of Cancer or Capricorn? They will be feeling some agitation.

MOON ASPECTS: Tuesday brings us Moon in Leo trine Mars. This could prove to be useful if you need to do some repair work on your moods or those of someone you care about.

Starting on Saturday afternoon (Eastern time), Moon in Libra is opposite Mars. That will undoubtedly cause tension… much of which might set the stage for Sunday, when the Moon will be square Jupiter, then Pluto, then Saturn (!!)

WHY THIS WEEK IS IMPORTANT: Pay particular attention to whatever Mars triggers in your life or in the lives around you, because Mars will be ending its retrograde period at 15 degrees Aries in November. Take note!
