Have you ever noticed how fear seems so much more prevalent in humans than love. What's up with that?

One of the most important questions I ever pondered was, "Is this a safe universe or a hostile one?"

Aloha, I was quite amazed when I was doing research about the top ten fears. They were: long words (that being first really amazed me), flying, clowns, heights, death, being alone, the dark, public speaking, commitment and intimacy. Of course, no matter what the fear, imagining an angel holding your hand and walking you through…

I had no idea they had all sorts of names for fear of flying including aerophobia, aviatophobia, aviophobia or pteromerhanophobia. Oddly enough I overcame my fear by being in a commercial plane that almost crashed.

Recently I gotten several emails from readers asking me for concrete ways to overcome fear once it has taken hold of their thinking. I find this Cherokee story of the two wolves a wonderful way to deal with fear.

Fear is a learned response so we can learn to respond differently. It takes practice and it is possible.

Ganesha is the god of obstacles and of course fear is one of our greatest obstacles to a happy life! He is the best-known and most beloved representation of divinity in Hinduism.
