Lord, my soul is awakened by my love for you and this truly wonderful person in front of me. You have brought us together and you have given us the capacity to love. Thank you for this gift and thank you for the many gifts we receive together in the future.

Let us recognize both the beauty of our love and when our arguments are futile. Teach us to share with each other, care for each other and listen to each other. Guide us away from selfishness, anger and other damaging behaviors.

Lord, hear our prayer. We pray together in honor of you, our love for you and the love you have given to us. Please help us to always be worthy of each other and worthy of the love you have granted us. Amen.
