Consider Other Types of Fasting
Fasting from food and/or drink is not the only form of fasting. If you find this type of fasting difficult, or want to make a change to your fasting practices, try abstaining from other activities or pleasures. You might avoid TV or the internet, shopping, alcohol, desserts, cell phones, etc. This type of fasting is easier to sustain for longer periods of time, and many Christians practice this annually during the 40 days of Lent.
