Saquon Barkley, Philadelphia Eagles
The New York Giants drafted Saquon Barkley in the 2018 draft after a standout career at Penn State. He was named Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2018 and made the Pro Bowl in both 2018 and 2022. After the 2023 season, he left New York and signed with the rival Philadelphia Eagles. He rushed for over 2,000 yards in his first season with the Eagles, helping lead Philly to victory in Super Bowl LIX. He was also named NFL Offensive Player of the Year for the 2024 season.
Saquon has testified that he gave his life to Christ shortly before joining Philadelphia for the 2024 season. He has talked about how his daughter's faith journey – and the questions she asks him — motivate him to grow deeper in his own faith. "There's so much that I gotta work on, and there's so much that I can continue to prove. I want to be that example, not just as a football player, but to my daughter. I want to be able to open up the Bible and tell her about this verse and that verse and break it down. And I'm not there yet, but it's a challenge that I'm willing to accept." Saquon is another outstanding player who is also outspoken about his faith.
