After calling Hollywood home for nearly 30 years, Mark Wahlberg decided to make a change for his wife, Rhea Durham, and their four children. In 2022, they moved from California to Nevada. Wahlberg said the move was mainly to give his kids more chances to follow their own interests.
“I spent lots of time in L.A. pursuing my interests and my career, and now it’s time for them to pursue theirs,” he told E! News after the move.
Wahlberg later said his children were “thriving” in Nevada. His daughter Grace rides horses, and his sons are interested in golf and basketball. “It’s a place where my kids can thrive and do their thing and pursue their interests,” he said.
The move also reflects Wahlberg’s commitment to faith and family. As a devout Catholic, he often speaks about how his relationship with God shapes his decisions and priorities.
