peace on earth

The rapture is one of the most intense things ever talked about or read about in the Bible. So many people are terrified of the rapture because they don’t understand it.

Some verses about it include:

But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Mark 13:32 NIV

Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. Revelation 3:10 NIV

Then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in heaven. And then all the peoples of the earth will mourn when they see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.  And he will send his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of the heavens to the other. Mathew 24:30-31 NIV

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,  who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. Philippians 3:20-21 NIV

I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us.  For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. Romans 8:18-19 NIV

“For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first.”  1 Thessalonians 4:16-18

This Bible verse gives a good depiction of what the rapture actually is, Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope.  For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.  According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep.  For the Lord, himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so, we will be with the Lord forever. 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 NIV.

Some research about the rapture includes:

The rapture is the meeting of all believers, both dead and alive, taken up into Heaven. It will be unknown to the unbelievers at the time of it actually happening. The unbelievers will not understand why the people they love are gone or where they have disappeared to. Those who are unbelievers will notice the absence of their loved ones, but they will not be able to figure out where they have gone.

Then, after a period of seven years of famine, war, plague, and pestilence, Christ will return to Earth with every person He called up into Heaven in secret during the rapture. After another 1,000 years of Christ ruling victoriously over His enemies, the unbelievers, both living and the dead, will be raised to judgment before God. The unbelievers will be cast into the fiery lakes of hell while those who believe will be reunited with Christ in Heaven and live with Him forever. (for more information on this, you can look at Revelations chapters 19-22). The 1,000-year period is also called the millennium.

God wants everyone to come to know Him before it is too late. He knows exactly when it is time for anyone to go home. Wouldn’t you rather be one of the people He calls home to Heaven to be with Him in blessed eternity, even if it is through the rapture than to be damned into the fire of Hell because you’re an unbeliever? Have you ever felt that nudge of your conscience telling you to watch what you do or say? That could be God trying to get your attention to turn towards Him. Learn about Him and come to know Him before it’s too late for you. The evidence of the rapture will be real, and evident. The rapture will be real. You know God doesn’t lie. The evidence is in His word. Trust it, and believe it.
