appreciating everything

Want to have a better life? Change the way you speak about yourself. Change how you think about yourself as well. If you only think negatively about yourself such as “nothing ever goes right for ” or “I’ll never get the job I need,” or “I’ll never be able to do the things I need to do in my life”, or “How will I provide for myself and my family?” Then you will believe you won’t be able to do anything in your life. Don’t let your mind be warped by Satan’s lies. Don’t let yourself believe the lies. You have to start thinking about all the things that will go right in your life as long as you believe in yourself and have a positive mindset. Start saying positive things in your everyday life. Say things such as ” I am blessed loved and I’m God’s child. There is nothing I can’t do with God on my side.” ” God loves me and will give me the tools to be able to do anything in His name and with His guidance.” ” no matter how difficult things look now or how difficult they can get, God will always love me, and He will give me a way out. ”

It is better to speak and think positive about yourself than anything negative. If you speak positive better things will happen. You’ll feel better and have more confidence and faith in yourself. You’ll start to believe the truth about yourself. You’ll start to believe the truth about yourself which is the truth that God has placed in your life. It is better for you to believe God’s truth than to ever believe Satan’s lies.
Start speaking Scripture to yourself daily and pray daily too. Speaking scripture over your life and throughout your day can help you immensely if you struggle with anxiety or fear or depression or anything that causes you to doubt yourself and God’s plan for your life memorizing and reciting scripture over your life can help you keep yourself grounded in your faith walk too. Philippians 4: 6-7 is one of my favorite verses. Philippians 4:6 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7 And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” This verse literally reminds us that we don’t have to be anxious about anything. Even though it may seem as though things aren’t going well now, they will get better and we can always turn to God. He doesn’t want us to be anxious or nervous. Instead, He wants us to pray about everything that is happening in our lives. It brings so much more peace after you pray about any situation and have faith that things will work out. His peace is the peace that transcends all human understanding. That is how you know the peace is from God when you don’t fully understand how you feel it, but you know you’re experiencing His true gift of peace.
Another verse to memorize and remind yourself and to speak over yourself is Philippians 4:13, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” If you’re having a tough time with a task at home or at work, remember who gave you the power within you to do anything you set your mind to in the first place. If you say you can do all things through Him who gives me the strength that I need to do them, and you believe it with your full heart, then even no matter how difficult the task in front of you may seem, you will be able to accomplish it. God wouldn’t allow anyone to see that verse if it wasn’t 100 percent true. All scripture is God ordained and God-breathed.
Praying daily takes a lot of guidance and even more so, a lot of patience and discipline. We often forget to pray because of our hectic schedules. But remember, you don’t always have to pray out loud so that anyone hears you either. In fact, God even urges us to pray to Him in secret, away from the public eye. If we pray in front of people, we are merely looking for anyone to say something good and reward us for praying. We don’t need any reward for praying because the ultimate reward is that God Himself always hears us. You can pray out loud or in your heart and in your head. No prayer towards Him ever goes unheard. It is a constant struggle and takes discipline to remember to pray every day. But, if you start thanking Him and praying about the trivial things that have happened in your everyday life, then it will honestly become way easier to thank Him for the little blessings in your day to day life. Those little blessings often times become the bigger blessings in life. If you learn to thank Him even in your time of need you will find that it is easier to pray even when things are going great. For instance, in my family, I’ve heard both of my parents say, “thank you, Lord.” When they get a good break in between cars when we pull out of one of the side streets. It is little things like that that have helped me see the little blessings.
Try to think of anything that you’re thankful for and say it out loud to yourself every day. Think of even one thing, big or small that you’re thankful for. When you give thanks for the small things and speak positive things about your life, you realize God is good all the time. All the time, God is good. Try speaking positive affirmations about yourself and give thanks in your life more often. It could change your perspective quite a bit.
