Allison Holker, the wife of the late Stephen “tWitch” Boss, thanked fans for the support and love they showed her and her family after Boss’ death in December of 2022. Holker shared her sentiments in a heartfelt Instagram video.

Holker said, “It has been very challenging and emotional, but you guys have brought so much hope and inspiration to us by sharing stories and memories and moments and different ways that Stephen impacted your life.” Holker, who, like Boss, was a contestant on “So You Think You Can Dance,” also said that Boss was someone “who was just beautiful and he lived life from love.” She added that he made you feel a certain way.

Holker continued, “My family and I have always said that we wanted to make sure that our purpose was lived out by bringing joy to people, joy to people’s homes from dance or love. That’s not going to change for us. It’s going to feel a little bit different, but we know that that’s our purpose, and we’ll still do that.” She ended her message by encouraging fans to steer toward love in their lives.

She said, “I hope that we can remember the feeling he gave us and remember that we can still move from there, we can still move and choose love, and we can still choose grace, and we can still choose kindness.”

Holker, who has shared numerous tributes to her late husband on Instagram, received several touching replies to her post. Ellen Degeneres wrote, “His light is still so bright. So is yours.” Degeneres also urged fans to “do the things” they loved to do in honor of Boss in December. A former star of “The Wonder Years,” Danica McKellar, wrote that it warms her heart to hear that Holker will continue her life’s purpose and “bring joy to the world through dance.” McKellar wrote, “Just think of the inspiration you’ll bring to others when they see you summon the strength to dance through your pain and find joy. Sending love to you!”

Holker’s daughter also recently returned to TikTok to pay tribute to her late adoptive father. Weslie Fowler, 14, posted a video showing her in the mirror holding a phone with a photo of Boss. The video was captioned, “I miss you.” Audio of Mac Miller’s song “Surf” can be heard playing. Her mother, who also shares a 6-year-old son named Maddox and a 3-year-old daughter named Zaia with Boss, commented on the video, writing, “I love you baby girl always and forever.”

Losing someone you love is never easy, especially when it’s unexpected. However, the Boss family is the perfect example of honoring your lost loved one while attempting to move forward with your life. Though they’ll never see him in the physical world again, the Boss family and fans can cherish the good times and memories they had while he was living. We should all cherish our loved ones while they’re here. If you or anyone you know is struggling, help is available.
