Did you know that time waits for no  one; not for man ,women, or child?  The only record in history when time ever stood still was when God did it sovereignly. (Joshua 10:13) So to say that  time ‘s a wasting is or can be a true statement.

We are all so busy in our society that we can’t afford to waste time.  We seem to never have enough hours in a day, even without unexpected interruptions.  Many things can intrude upon our scheduled activities, but it is how we deal with it that matters.  Some interruptions are God ordained and need to be taken seriously.  Others may just be an annoyance to us.

Waiting on a train often fits into the annoyance category.  This particular track is one where they keep going back and forth adding and subtracting cars to the train.  You can be held up here for a long time, or so it seems.  It probably is only a few minutes, but it seems much longer; especially if you’re in a hurry.

If we could only catch hold of the thought that our time is God’s time, perhaps we could relax a bit.  Waiting on a train is a good time to pray for a few extra minutes.  Or, we could make a quick phone call to a friend.  Every inconvenience in our lives can  be turned into a blessing, if we try to find the positive side of it.

So, the next time you meet with a train that seemingly has no end, ask God what He would have you do during this down time.  I’m sure He will let you know how to proceed.
