Reformed Chicks Blabbing

Various clips of Democrats saying that Obama isn’t ready to lead the nation including Obama himself stating that he wasn’t ready to lead. Nice contrast to the speeches of the last three nights :-)BTW, when Clinton stated that he was accused of not being ready, I thought of Rwanda, bombing the aspirin factory, letting bin…

Bummer! I was looking forward to soaring rhetoric not policy! But I guess since the independents want substance not style, Obama is forced to include policy in his speech: “I’m not aiming for a lot of high rhetoric,” he said of his upcoming speech. “I’m much more concerned with communicating how I intend to help…

Obama’s stage is going to look like a Greek temple: When Sen. Barack Obama moves the Democratic National Convention from the Pepsi Center to Invesco Field on Thursday, the freshman senator is planning to speak from a columned stage resembling an ancient Greek temple. “Is this from the Onion?” quipped a McCain adviser. I saw…

But her people don’t seem to be in the mood for unity: Hillary Rodham Clinton’s most loyal delegates came to the Pepsi Center on Tuesday night looking for direction. They listened, rapt, to a 20-minute speech that many proclaimed the best she had ever delivered, hoping her words could somehow unwind a year of tension…

No one can say that she didn’t do what she was expected to do. She was unequivocal in her support for Obama. From the beginning of her speech until the end, she made it clear that she wanted her people to support Obama. She did an amazing job of moving from what she worked for…

But so far all I’ve heard are reporters, Dan Bartlett, Joe Trippe and Romney. And saw Dukakis apologize for the Bush I presidency (if he didn’t lose the election to Bush the elder the son wouldn’t have been president — Bartlet said Dukakis wasn’t the reason for Bush II, Bill Clinton was 🙂 Also shots…

So, I watched what the networks deemed an appropriate amount of time for viewing the Democrats’ convention: an hour. Actually I would have viewed it for two hours if they had deemed it worthy of that amount of time but they only gave me an hour so I took it and watched what NBC did…

Of course everyone knows that the Clinton supporters will come to their senses and vote for Obama, right? McCain is pro-life and should be anathema to pro-choice voters. When they finally “get over it,” they’ll realize that Obama is closer to their views than McCain. But shouldn’t the Obama supporters be a little less combative?…

Pretty effectively:This ad worked well for Clinton as Allapundit notes and its use is well timed. It fits in well with two of McCain’s ad themes at the moment: Obama’s readiness to lead and reaching out to the Hillary supporters. Do they believe what she said in the primary or what she’ll say tonight?

Finally! Someone is willing to say in an ad that Obama supports infanticide! Excellent ad.BTW, this is particularly funny: We have put up more than 50 Martin Luther King Was A Republican billboards in Denver, Colorado to welcome Senator Barack Obama to the Democratic National Convention! (via)
