Nailed it, Pogo!

(Wondering what the next few months hold in store for you? Write me with your date, time, and place of birth — and I’ll send you a free sneak preview!)

Dear ______:

Thank you for keeping in touch during what I know must be a very difficult time.

I think the answer to your initial question about Saturn at 0 degrees Aquarius, right on top of your Midheaven, and how it will affect your work is a fairly straightforward one. But some of the other things you bring up in your message have me concerned for both you and for me, regardless of the astrology involved.

I think the worst of the disruption you are feeling from Saturn at 0 Aquarius is more or less over, yet kind of not. In your line of work, I imagine things are always a mess at the beginning. You know the importance of Aquarius in your birth chart, and although Saturn in that Sign can be difficult, it can be navigated. Besides: crisis management is literally “your thing.”

Having said that, the entire second half of 2020 looks like it’s going to be pretty challenging for you. We have some unusual circumstances where Mars will be in Aries for basically the second half of this calendar year. This means both your Mars return, and a lot of fighting with the powers-that-be (the Twelfth House). And for all of us, already so wired to blow: does sixth months of Mars in anything sound like a good idea?

You mentioned that you thought initially that the economic fallout from all of this was going to be the worst of it. I too was thinking along similar lines. But yes, I now believe that the potential psychological damage from all of this is going to hit harder then we thought even the virus might. And damn, COVID-19 is hitting pretty hard, isn’t it?

I imagine that that in any disaster, morale is difficult to maintain. And although I’ve never been in one before now, my understanding is that rumors and nonsense will always appear. Things like “they aren’t going to send us any tents because the Governor hates this County!,” or “the Army base sure is busy. Are we being prepared for an overthrow?”

I’m absolutely stunned at how many people have capitulated so quickly to irrational fear. Have you ever noticed that frightened people don’t usually make the wisest decisions for themselves or others? I have. And now that so many of us are stuck at home on Facebook and Twitter all day long, the lunacy is clearly spreading via social media.

When I was a teenager one of my favourite books was The SAS Survival Handbook. You know, stuff like “how to dig a tiger trap” or “how to start a fire without matches when everything is wet,” and that sort of thing. I’ll never be a rugged survivalist, but my favorite chapter was the one entitled “The Psychological Survivor.” I don’t think people realize how important morale is at a time like this.

Are there any resources you can point me/us to online so that I can help explain this better to others, before half the world consumes itself and its own frightened stupidity? My work doesn’t compare to yours in any way… but it feels like I’m managing an emergency too, in some ways.

Anyway, back to work for both of us. You are the right person in the right place at the right time. Know that.

Be well, ______,
