What can we tell about a person from just their birthday, with no time or place of birth? Can we glean any meaningful insight from that alone? (Wondering what the next few months hold in store for you? Write me with your date, time, and place of birth — and I’ll send you a free […]

Brothers and Sisters:
I won’t lie to you. We are facing difficult times and it looks like things will get worse before they get better.
Saturn has just entered Aquarius. Saturn always presents a test somehow. Not necessarily the kind of test where one simply passes or fails, but the kind of test that ultimately tells us who we are and what we really stand for.
Here, I think, is the true message of the time we have now entered:
Please don’t panic about coronavirus. Be informed and be aware, certainly. Take all the precautions you can. But panic? People never make smart decisions when they are panicked.
Please don’t fall into the trap of either excessive nationalism or excessive xenophobia. Thus far, political dogma and tribalism only seem to have made this entire situation worse, not better.
I believe we are being challenged to build a better life for ourselves and for everyone else. And we can do this. As the saying goes, we are the ones we have waited for.
As individuals and as a species, we have never been better equipped to stop a pandemic. We are better informed than ever before. What’s more, even though we find ourselves isolated for our own sake and for the sake of others, we’ve never been more connected as individuals or as a species either.
As for the economic upheaval we are experiencing now? Clearly something needed to be addressed about the way we relate to money and materiality, and we can figure out a better way to do these things.
Here’s what I’m asking you all to do:
Broaden your circle. Check in with people you wouldn’t normally check in with and ask them how they are doing. Reach out and ask for the help you need, and offer the help that you can provide.
When you must go out? When you see the people who are still driving the buses or keeping the grocery store stocked, thank them for their service. Each one of the people who are doing those things, those jobs that few ever really aspired to as a child, are doing more now to save the world and to keep us alive and sane then a thousand investment bankers ever could.
Please, let us all do this. Let’s start a Pandemic Of Hope. Let’s spread it to everyone on the planet in every country.
I say this to you all now, with more conviction than I ever have said it before: live long and prosper, and peace be with you.
