matthew currie astrology compatibility sun(This blog entry is part of a series about how the planets in your birth chart affect other people, for better or worse. Click here for the introduction.)

THE PLANET: The Sun, which is the center of our solar system and without which life itself would not be possible.

WHAT IT DOES FOR YOU: The Sun represents your Ego. We often tend to think of the Ego as being something that is inherently negative, but it’s actually not… unless it gets out of hand of course.

WHAT IT MEANS FOR LOVE AND ROMANCE: Being in a relationship should ideally make you feel good about yourself and the other person as well. Unless, of course, you are a total jerk.

WHAT IT DOES TO OTHERS (GOOD): You can use your Sun to build the other person’s self-esteem and sense of self-worth, and that in turn will likely make you feel pretty good about yourself too.

WHAT IT DOES TO OTHER PLANETS (BAD): Remember what I said about being a total jerk? You may not intend to be, but if your Sun makes difficult aspects to someone else’s chart you could come across that way. Besides: if a relationship between two people is mostly about just one of them, it’s not much of a “relationship,” is it?

HOW DO I WORK WITH SOMEONE ELSE’S SUN? It might be oversimplifying things to suggest that the more you flatter your partner, the better your relationship will go. nonetheless, a bit of that can get you great results and make the other person more open to you.
