These kinds of stories should be commonplace, but sadly they’re all too rare. Maybe because they don’t happen enough or maybe because we pay too much attention to bad news to take notice.

But this story about a high school cross country athlete in Minnesota caught my attention and I thought it might inspire you too. Josh Ripley stopped in the middle of his race to care for a competitor whose ankle was bleeding severely after being inadvertently spiked by another runner.
