Lizzie Velasquez was born with a rare syndrome that prevents her from gaining weight. This inspiring 26-year-old was bullied by peers relentlessly. If this wasn’t enough, she found a disturbing video on YouTube calling her “The World’s Ugliest Woman,” and was told to put a gun to her head.

What person wouldn’t be hurt by such viciousness? The 58-pound victim of cyber bullying fought back with a vengeance, and has become a sought-out motivational speaker, and author. There is more to this story. She has multi-million-views on TEDxtalk, and now a new documentary will follow this journey in “A BRAVE HEART: The Lizzie Velasquez Story.”

“I thought the light at the end of the tunnel was forever gone a few years ago. Now I’m more convinced that that same light will never fade out for anyone. You just have to be willing to find it,” she said. Velasquez never let others define her, neither should you.

“I’ve been blessed with the most incredible support system. They are able to celebrate with me on joyful days and supportive me with love on the days that aren’t so great.”

Velasquez used her negative experiences to make herself and others better.
