Chuck Colson touched many lives. He had a significant impact on the work of the ACLJ. When I first began my legal work defending religious liberty, Chuck was there with an encouraging word. One of the very first letters I received after arguing my first case at the Supreme Court of the United States was from Chuck.

His words of encouragement have had a lasting impact on me to this day. He has been a friend and a mentor, and he will be truly missed.

He was an international presence who understood redemption. With his ministry, Prison Fellowship, he truly transformed lives and reconciled families. As his ministry put it: “Evangelical Christianity lost one of its most eloquent and influential voices.”

The entire ACLJ family is praying for Patty and the Colson family at this time. We rejoice in the work, in the ministry, in the life of Chuck Colson.
