Yes, I know I need to exercise, but I hate to exercise!

I do, however, love to move because it makes me feel so good.  It’s become a daily habit; a discipline, just like flossing and brushing my teeth.

I feel good when I have clean teeth.  I love running my tongue across really clean pearly-whites.  I love not having cavities like I did when I was a child.

I feel good when I move.  I feel invigorated, energized, full of clarity and fresh.  This morning I went to the gym and did a half-hour on an elliptical machine while listening to music on headphones.  The time went so fast, I wasn’t ready to get off but I had to go.

If you’ve been reading my newsletter, blogs, or book and videos you probably know how much I love to dance.  I dance anytime, anywhere.  Talk about joy! Check out my “Dancing Doctor Norris” video on YouTube, give it a rating and a comment and please tell all your friends to watch it.  Here’s the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12s4xUgWCv0

When I was overweight, it was hard to get moving – hard to overcome the inertia of my large size and heaviness.  So I started with just 10 minutes a day of walking.  That was enough, and honestly, it was hard to pick myself up off the couch and get going every day.  Once walking, though, it felt good.

What do you do to move every day?  How did you get in the habit?  We’d love to know.  Please tell us by posting a comment below.
