Rod Stewart is a British songwriter and pop/rock singer. He’s best known for his raspy singing voice, selling 250 million records worldwide. He’s had musical success in the UK and the United States and was knighted in 2016. Stewart’s career started in 1963 when he joined The Dimensions as a harmonica player, joining other groups before releasing his debut album in 1969. Stewart was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994 as a solo artist and into the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2006.
