Tracee Ellis Ross is an actress, model, comedian, director and television host. She is the daughter of actress Diana Ross and Robert Ellis Silberstein. Tracee adopted her mother's last name in the hopes that it would benefit her acting career. She got her big break by staring in the comedy series "Girlfriends" where she played Joan CLayton. She is also well known for portraying Dr. Rainbow Johnson in the ABC comedy series Black-ish for which she received a Golden Globe.
