- Fun Fact: Called the creator of “rock’s greatest single body of riffs” and seen as the fourth greatest guitar player of all time.
Keith Richards was one of the founding members of the Rolling Stones and is considered one of the greatest guitar players alive. With the Rolling Stones, he would play both the lead and rhythm guitar parts sometimes doing both in the same song. He also performed both lead and backup vocals for the Stones as well as co-writing a number of their songs with Mick Jagger. When the Rolling Stones record in the studio, Richards will sometimes play all of the guitar parts on his own. He did this with “Paint It Black,” “Ruby Tuesday” and “Sympathy for the Devil.”
