As a teen, Newton performed in Vegas in the late 1950s, mentored by artists like Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, and Bobby Darin. He achieved headliner status in 1963 at a casino hotel in Vegas, The Flamingo, and became one of the most popular performers in Vegas. Newton has also appeared in numerous television shows and movies in his career. His most well-known songs include "Danke Schoen,” "Summer Wind," and "Red Roses for a Blue Lady."
