Sherrone Moore is an American college football coach and former player. He most recently served as head coach of the University of Michigan football team. Moore first gained national attention when he stepped in as acting head coach for four games during Michigan’s championship-winning 2023 season. He officially succeeded Jim Harbaugh as head coach in 2024 and led the program until his dismissal following the 2025 regular season.

In 2018, Moore joined the University of Michigan as tight ends coach. Michigan’s tradition and expectations are enormous, and the job placed him under a national spotlight. Moore thrived. In 2021, he was promoted to co-offensive coordinator and offensive line coach, helping anchor a dominant ground attack.
