The family moved to Champaign, Illinois, where they lived for five years. They later moved to Los Angeles so that Minnette could pursue an acting career. His first role was a single episode of “Drake & Josh,” but he later appeared in the original film “The Year Without Santa Claus,” as an unnamed character in “Fred Claus,” as Todd Lyons in “The Clique,” and as Noah Framm in “Snow Buddies.” Notable TV roles for Minnette include the young version of the character Michael Scofield on “Prison Break” and Clay Norman on “Saving Grace.” He also played a bully named Kenny in “Let Me In,” which was released in 2010. In 2014, Minnette appeared in “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day” as Anthony Cooper, the first of the Cooper children and the eldest brother of the titular character. The movie is based on Judith Viorst’s 1972 children’s book of the same name. In the following year, Minnette co-starred in “Goosebumps,” based on R.L. Stine’s children’s horror book series of the same name. The film was a commercial success and garnered generally positive reviews from critics, grossing over $158 million. In 2017, Minnette starred in the Netflix drama series “13 Reasons  Why,” an adaptation of the 2007 novel of the same name as Clay Jensen.

His portrayal won him critical praise. The Hollywood Reporter wrote, “Minnette is so dedicated to playing despondent that the relief and pleasure in brief scenes of flirty banter between Hannah and Clay was palpable.” He was on the show for four seasons until it ended in 2020. He also starred in the Netflix film “The Open House,” which premiered in January 2018. In September 2020, Minnette was cast as Wes Hicks in the fifth “Scream” movie, which Tyler Gillett and Matt Bettinelli directed. The movie was released in 2022.

What religion is Dylan Minnette?

It’s unclear if Dylan Minnette believes in any particular religion, as he hasn’t addressed his personal beliefs on his faith. In an interview with Vanity Fair, Minnette shared that he stepped away from acting to pursue music. He said, “I was fortunate to find success in acting. I was on 13 Reasons Why and it was really popular and definitely reached a peak in what I’ve had in acting. But it also started to feel like a bit of a job. And I was in a very fortunate position. It was always fun for me, always really inspiring.” Minnette felt the desire to take his band, Wallows, which also includes Braeden Lemasters and Cole Preston, “all the way as far as we can.”
