Christine McVie was born on July 12, 1943 in Birmingham, England. She grew up in a musical household as her grandfather played organ at Westminster Abbey and her father was a concert violinist. She played piano since she was four years old and started to take music seriously when she turned 11 and started training. She wanted to become an art teacher and studied music in Birmingham. Christine played in a band called Chicken Shack for years before marrying John McVie, the bassist for Fleetwood Mac, and joining the band.
Is Christine McVie Religious?
Not much is documented about her religious beliefs. Fleetwood Mac has been open about recognizing God and believing in Him. However, she has not made much comment on the subject. Her mother, Beatrice, however, was a faith-healing psychic medium involved in other-worldly pursuits. It is assumed Christine recognizes a higher-power and likely considers herself a spiritual person who believes in a God due to the lyrical content and influences of her time.
