Bill Murray is an American actor and comedian who was born in Evanston, Illinois. In 1975 he started as a cast member on Saturday Night Live. His first starring film role was Meatballs in 1979 and has also been in movies such as Caddyshack,” “Lost in Translation, and Ghostbusters.
Murray has had many controversial issues regarding his marriages and substance abuse problems. He was married to Margaret Kelly in 1981 but the couple divorced after he had an affair with Jennifer Butler, who became his second wife. In 2008, Butler filed for divorce and accused Murray of domestic violence, infidelity, and addiction to drugs and alcohol.
In addition to his acting career, he owns a restaurant in Florida with his brothers and is also a part-owner of the St. Paul’s Saints semi-pro basketball team. He does not have an agent or manager and reportedly only received script offers and roles with a personal phone he rarely checks.
