Jeremy Lin is an Asian-American pro basketball player who, despite being bounced from the Warriors to the Rockets and finally to the Knicks, achieved major success in the 2011-12 NBA season after being placed in the game almost accidentally. On Feb. 10, 2012 he scored a career high of 38 points against the Lakers and Kobe Bryant. Terms such as "Linsanity" and "Lintacular" have been coined to describe the furor and excitement that Lin has generated.
Lin is an evangelical Christian and was raised in a Christian home by his parents. During his years at Harvard, Lin was involved with the Asian American Christian Fellowship, InterVarsity, and lead a Bible study amongst his fellow Harvard basketball teammates.
