Kate Hudson is an actress and businesswoman, making her film debut in “Desert Blue.” After that role, she starred in other films like “200 Cigarettes” and “Gossip.” Hudson rose to international fame after her role as Penny Lane in “Almost Famous,” which earned her a Golden Globe and an Oscar nomination. In the 2000s, Hudson starred in numerous romantic comedies like “Bride Wars,” “Fool’s Gold,” “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days,” and “Raising Helen.”

Besides her film efforts, Hudson is also the co-founder of Fabletics and an author. She was born in Los Angeles, the daughter of Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson. Her parents divorced while she was young, but Hudson has never had a close relationship with her biological father. She considers her mother’s longtime boyfriend, Kurt Russell, her father.

Is Kate Hudson religious?

Kate Hudson has a Jewish heritage but was raised with Buddhist influences early on. Her mother, Goldie Hawn, had taken a serious interest in religion after beginning with mindful living and meditation in the 70s. Coming from a Jewish background, Hudson still associates herself with Judaism; in principle, however, she is a Buddhist in practice.
