Jennifer Love Hewitt is a singer and actress. She started her career as a singer and child actress, appearing in national television commercials before joining the cast of the Disney Channel series “Kids Incorporated.” She had her breakthrough as Sarah Reeves Merrin on the teen drama “Party of Five” and rose to fame as a teen star for her role as Julie James in “I Know What You Did Last Summer” and its sequel, as well as her role as Amanda Beckett in “Can’t Hardly Wait.”

Her other notable movies include “Heartbreakers,” “The Tuxedo,” and the two “Garfield” live-action films. Her most successful single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart was the 1999 release “How Do I Deal,” which peaked at number 59. In addition to acting and music, Hewitt has served as a producer for some of her television and film projects. She’s also appeared in several magazines’ lists of the most beautiful women.

Hewitt was born in Waco, Texas, but grew up in Nolanville in central Texas. After her parents divorced, she and her older brother were raised by their mother. As a toddler, Hewitt was attracted to music, leading her to her first encounters with the entertainment industry. When she was three, she sang “The Greatest Love of All” at a livestock show. The following year, at a restaurant dance hall, she entertained the audience with her version of “Help Me Make It Through the Night.” By the time she was five, she had ballet and tap dancing in her portfolio. When she was nine, she became a member of the Texas Show Team, which also toured the Soviet Union.
