Jennifer Garner is an actress. She studied theater at Denison University and started acting as an understudy for the Roundabout Theatre Company in New York City. In 1995, she debuted onscreen in the TV movie “Zoya.” She also had a starring role on the Fox show “Time of Your Life” and in the war film “Pearl Harbor” and the comedy “Catch Me If You Can.” Garner gained recognition for her role as CIA officer Sydney Bristow in the ABC series “Alias,” which earned her a Golden Globe and four Primetime Emmy nominations.
Garner has also starred in films like “13 Going on 30” and played Elektra in the movies “Elektra” and “Daredevil.” Her other acting credits include “Juno,” “Valentine’s Day,” and “Ghosts of Girlfriends Past.” Garner’s other film credits include “Dallas Buyers Club” and family films like “Love, Simon,” “Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day,” and “The Adam Project.” Garner works as an activist for early childhood education, serving as a board member of Save the Children USA.

Jennifer Garner was born in Houston, Texas but moved to West Virginia when she was three. Her father, William, worked as a chemical engineer, while her mother, Patricia, was a homemaker and English teacher at a local college.

As teens, she and her sisters weren’t allowed to paint their nails, wear makeup, dye their hair, or pierce their ears.
