Gilbert Gottfried was an actor and comedian best known for his role in the 90's Disney classic Aladdin. Gottfried's screeching voice stood out almost immediately when he hit the comedy scene when he was 15 years old. In 1980 Gottfried was added to Saturday Night Live's cast for season 6 but didn't make many appearances. The comedian had stated he didn't really enjoy his time on SNL because the sketches were not his type of comedy. The comedian went on to star in several tv shows and movies. He is known for making extremely inappropriate jokes. Gottfried has been in hot water before because his jokes can be quite vulgar and bizarre at times. While Gottfried was raised Jewish he had admitted to never having a bar mitzvah. Gilbert passed away on April 12th, 2022 from ventricular tachycardia which was complicated by type II myotonic dystrophy. The comedian was 67 years old.
