David Eric Grohl is a singer, songwriter, musician and director associated with the rock band Foo Fighters. He was one of the band's founders and served as their frontman, lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist and primary songwriter. He was also the best-known and longest-serving drummer for Nirvana. For his work with Nirvana and Foo Fighters, Grohl was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame along with his bandmates Kurt Cobain and Krist Novoselic.
