Peter Hayden Dinklage is an actor and film producer. He studied acting at Bennington College, and he got his big break in "The Station Agent." His is best known, however, for his role as Tyrion Lannister in the HBO series "Game of Thrones." The role has earned him seven consecutive Emmy nominations, three Emmy wins and a Golden Globe. Dinklage refused to take roles normally given to dwarfs such as fantasy dwarves and leprechuans. He preferred roles that involved "romantic feelings" and "flaws." His wariness of genre roles had him uncertain about accepting the "Game of Thrones" role until he met with the showrunners. He agreed to the part before the meeting was even half over.
