Jennifer Coolidge is an actress who’s appeared in numerous television shows and movies, primarily comedy. She’s received numerous accolades, including a Primetime Emmy and a Golden Globe. She’s regularly collaborated with Christopher Guest on his mockumentary films like “A Mighty Wind” and “Best in Show.” She’s also appeared in movies like “A Cinderella Story,” “Date Movie,” and “Single All the Way.”

On television, Coolidge has appeared on several sitcoms like “The Secret Life of the American Teenager,” “Joey,” and “2 Broke Girls.” She received critical acclaim for her roles as Tanya McQuoid in the HBO series “The White Lotus,” winning a Golden Globe and a Primetime Emmy Award.

Coolidge was born in Boston, Massachusetts, to Gretchen and Paul Coolidge. She attended Emerson College in Boston and the American Academy of Dramatic Studies in New York City. In college, she wanted to become a dramatic actress like Meryl Streep but became a comedic actress instead. Coolidge also worked as a waitress alongside Sandra Bullock while in New York. In 1996, she got her big break playing “Stifler’s mom” in “American Pie.” The movie was a box-office hit, grossing $235 million worldwide.

She reprised her role in “American Pie 2” in 2001. Later that same year, she had a supporting role in “Legally Blonde,” playing Paulette, the manicurist. “Legally Blonde” was another box-office success, grossing $96 million domestically. Coolidge would reprise the role in the 2003 sequel “Legally Blonde 2: Red, White & Blonde.” However, this film wasn’t a big hit like the first film and generated primarily negative reviews. In 2004, she played Hilary Duff’s self-absorbed, vain stepmother in “A Cinderella Story.” Though the film received some negative reviews, it was a moderate box-office success.
