- Fun Faith Fact!: Born in 1968, Craig is the first actor to portray James Bond to have been born after the Bond series started, and after the death of Ian Fleming, the novels' writer.
Daniel Craig already had several credits to his name prior to being cast as the latest portrayer of Agent 007 in the fictional James Bond series. Followed by roles in other films, though perhaps none as internationally known, he has portrayed 007 four times on the big screen, and even made a guest appearance at the opening of the 2012 Olympic Games Ceremony in London.
At 5-foot-ten-inches, Craig is the shortest Bond to date, but you wouldn't guess it while watching the films, and is currently the third longest-serving Bond, after completion of the two additional Bond films he's signed on for.
Daniel Craig lives in Primrose Hill in London with his family, and is an avid rugby fan and former player.
