Giannis Antetokounmpo is a professional basketball player widely regarded as one of the most dominant athletes of his generation. Although he was raised in a Christian household, Antetokounmpo was formally baptized into the Greek Orthodox faith in October 2012 at Agios Meletios Church in Sepolia, Athens. The baptism took place on OXI Day, one of Greece’s most significant national holidays, reflecting the strong connection between his faith and Greek cultural identity.

Throughout his career, Antetokounmpo has openly acknowledged God’s role in his success. He frequently references his faith in interviews, public appearances, and social media posts, often sharing Bible verses and messages of gratitude.
