An Easy Exercise in Possibility

posted by Jodi Chapman

Jodi ChapmanIf I told you that you could let go of anything that was holding you back, anything that was causing you pain, anything that was keeping you from living your best life, would you believe me?

If I told you that you truly have the ability and the power to create the life that you want and deserve to live, would you believe me – on a deep, deep level? Would you let the words move beyond your brain and sink into your heart? Would you let them swirl around in your body?

Or would you instead share all of the reasons why it’s possible for me or for another to create the life that they want to live, but it simply isn’t possible for you. You have too much _________ in the way. Or too much _________ to process. Or not enough _________ to be able to let go and embrace your power.

That’s what happens so often. You believe something is possible for someone else because you see evidence of them living their dream life or embracing their dream partner or working at their dream career. So you know that it can happen. You see it happening.

And yet, maybe there’s that part of you who doesn’t believe that it can happen to you.

Would you be willing to let that belief go?

Would you be willing to give this new life with new experiences and new beliefs and new outcomes a try?

Because really, what do you have to lose?

If you’re hanging onto these beliefs and these experiences that are weighing you down, my guess is that you aren’t truly happy or truly at peace. My guess is that life often feels dreary and heavy for you. And what if you could let go of some of that weight and step into a life that’s filled with possibility?

Your life wouldn’t get worse, would it? And it may just get a whole lot better, right?

If you’re willing to try an easy exercise in possibility, I invite you to do this:

Take out a piece of paper and write this down:

My life is filled with infinite possibility, and I am the creator of limitless miracles.

Put it beside your bed, so it’s the first thing you’ll see when you wake up tomorrow.

Right when you wake up, read it and say it out loud five times (with feeling and with as much belief as you can).

As you go throughout your day, carry this piece of paper in your pocket. And take it out at least five times and repeat the affirmation (with feeling).

Take a few minutes to imagine how your life would look if you believed these words. Imagine how your life would change if you believed in your ability to create the life you wanted to live. Imagine how your life would feel if you accepted the endless possibilities that awaited you.

And then, see yourself letting go of anything that is holding you back from embracing your life – past pains, fears, whatever. Begin to let them all go. And see yourself stepping into your new life – one that feels light and free, one that fills your soul, one that feels amazing. See yourself embrace these words – taking them into your heart as truth.

Just try this for one day and see how you feel. If you feel better (even just a little bit), do it again the following day. And the following day. And the following day.

Before you know it, these new thoughts will create an entire shift – starting with your mind and going down into your heart. You will begin to believe these words that are filled with possibility. And you will create this life that you so deserve to live. You will. I believe it. I know it. And so will you.

Hugs,

Jodi

Just One Thing
Sometimes, life can feel overwhelming. It can feel disheartening. It can feel like it’s all just too much to handle, to process, to sift through. Especially for sensitive souls – those of us who live our lives with our hearts wide open and with our emotions close to the surface. I know. I rea

Lean Into It
I oftentimes feel that my life is a drag car race – where I’m going around and around and around at super fast speeds, and the only time I stop to recharge is when I absolutely have to – when I’m about to run out of gas or when my body simply can’t go any longer and needs to refuel – eit

You Already Know
Yes. It’s easy to look to another for the answers. It’s easy to look outside of yourself for the way forward. It’s easy to ask and plead and beg for someone to tell you what to do, or how to live, or where to go. It’s so easy to put all of your power in someone else’s hands – to turn you

You're Already Perfect
In the past I seemed to believe that I'd achieve perfection if I only tried hard enough, pushed hard enough, and worked hard enough.  So that’s exactly what I did. I tried until I couldn’t try any more. I pushed until I was absolutely exhausted and had nothing left to give. And I worked unti
