Heart of the Soul

A Love Letter for Sensitive Souls

posted by Jodi Chapman

Jodi Chapman - You MatterThis love letter is for you, sensitive one.

You who sometimes feels that this world that moves so fast and sounds so loud and feels so intense and is just too much to take in and too much to process and too much to be a part of.

You who sometimes feels that your heart can’t possibly break open any wider – can’t possibly feel any more pain and sorrow and love and joy or any other intense emotion. You who sometimes feels that you may burst completely open at times.

You who can be so easily overwhelmed and so easily overloaded and so easily overextended and so easily overjoyed and so easily overemotional.

You who can cry so easily and feel so much so quickly. You who has the ability to carry another’s pain as if it were your own. You who sees the world through a lens of love and can’t understand how everyone doesn’t do the same.

You who loves so, so deeply. You who cries so, so hard. You who feels so, so much.

You who has such beautiful gifts to offer to the world. You who absolutely positively are a gift for the world. You who loves so fully and feels so much and is so present and so able to take another’s emotion and process it as your own.

You who can take the world’s pain into your heart, spin it all around, and let it flow out as love, love, and more love.

You who wonders sometimes if you are truly able to do this – to be a part of this world and not withdraw from it completely.

You who looks around and sometimes feels like you just don’t fit in – like no one could possibly feel as intensely or see things as clearly.

You who are sensitive.

I say thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I am so glad that you’re here. I am so grateful that you’re a part of this world. I am so very happy that your beautiful soul feels so much and cares so much and loves so much. I am so, so glad.

Sensitive souls are so, so needed. You collectively give the world a heartbeat. You collectively give the world a soul. You collectively give the world compassion and empathy.

You do this. You really do.

I know that it’s not always easy. I know it.

And I know that it sometimes feels impossible to continue showing up and staying present and being here – fully here.

But you must. Truly, you must.

Your beautiful heart and sweet, sensitive soul is part of the collective heartbeat.

We need you. The world needs you.

Hugs,

Jodi

Just One Thing
Sometimes, life can feel overwhelming. It can feel disheartening. It can feel like it’s all just too much to handle, to process, to sift through. Especially for sensitive souls – those of us who live our lives with our hearts wide open and with our emotions close to the surface. I know. I rea

Lean Into It
I oftentimes feel that my life is a drag car race – where I’m going around and around and around at super fast speeds, and the only time I stop to recharge is when I absolutely have to – when I’m about to run out of gas or when my body simply can’t go any longer and needs to refuel – eit

You Already Know
Yes. It’s easy to look to another for the answers. It’s easy to look outside of yourself for the way forward. It’s easy to ask and plead and beg for someone to tell you what to do, or how to live, or where to go. It’s so easy to put all of your power in someone else’s hands – to turn you

You're Already Perfect
In the past I seemed to believe that I'd achieve perfection if I only tried hard enough, pushed hard enough, and worked hard enough.  So that’s exactly what I did. I tried until I couldn’t try any more. I pushed until I was absolutely exhausted and had nothing left to give. And I worked unti
