Heart of the Soul

A Love Experiment

Jodi Chapman - LoveDo you believe that you live in a loving world?

Do you believe that you are surrounded by loving people?

Do you believe that you deserve to receive love?

Do you believe that you are worthy of giving love?

Do you believe that you are made from pure love?

If so, I’m so excited for you! I would guess that your world is vast and ever expanding and filled with so much goodness.

If not, I would love to invite you to open up to the possibility of each of these beliefs being true. I would love for you to imagine how different your life would be if you took these beliefs into your heart and allowed them to radiate throughout your entire being.

Even if you don’t believe that any of them are true, I still would invite you to try an experiment. (I have a skeptical mind, and I often like to “test” theories and gather evidence to see if they are true. If you’re that way, too, this experiment will be tons of fun for you!)

So here’s how it will work:

When you wake up tomorrow – before you even open your eyes – take a few deep breaths. And then take a few more. And imagine a loving white light flowing from the skies and into your body – swirling throughout it and healing all hurts and releasing all pain. Imagine that this loving white light is connected to the universe, to you, and to everyone else. Imagine that at the same time this light is flowing into your body, it’s also flowing into everyone’s – healing you and healing them, helping each of you get back to your loving essence. Take a few more deep breaths while still envisioning this loving while light flowing throughout your body and everyone’s bodies. And when you’re ready, open your eyes and start your day.

As your day progresses, imagine that each person that you encounter is still filled with this loving light, just as you are. Imagine that rather than connecting with your words or through your minds, you are connecting from a much deeper level – from your hearts and from your souls.

Trust that if anything is said that doesn’t feel genuine or loving, that it is most likely a communication issue that can be remedied. Trust that every person offers love at their core, and that is where you are choosing to meet them in this world – on this day – at this moment.

If you begin to feel undeserving of this outpouring of love, you can go back to your meditation and remember how amazing it feels to be filled with this loving light. You can remember that this is your innate state – that this pure love is YOU.

Continue seeing others through this loving lens for several days in a row. Write down your experiences. See how you are changing.

It’s my hope that your heart will open during this experiment. It’s my hope that you’ll automatically attract others who are also choosing love. It’s my hope that you will choose to live in this love-filled space – knowing that you are so deserving of it.

Give it a try! You have absolutely nothing to lose and absolutely everything to gain. Because honestly, what could be better than a life filled with overflowing love?
