Jodi Chapman - Soul

When I sit down to write, I usually start by closing my eyes, taking a deep breath, and asking my soul to share what it most wants me to know.

And then I wait. Sometimes for a couple of seconds. Sometimes for a couple of minutes. Sometimes for a couple of hours (thankfully it’s rare that it takes this long – my soul is pretty chatty and usually has no problem speaking up).

Once I sense that it’s ready to tell me what it most needs me to hear, I keep my eyes closed and begin to type. I allow it to speak through my fingers. I allow my brain to step aside for a moment and simply allow my soul’s wisdom to flow onto the screen.

I never know what it’s going to share. Sometimes it’s guidance for me. Sometimes it’s guidance for you. And often it’s guidance for all of us.

I’ve been writing this way for almost three years. I’ve written thousands of pages using this method. And there always seems to be more that my soul wants me to hear – that it yearns for me to hear.

And what it wants me to share now is that we all have this ability to tap into our inner wisdom. All of us. And sometimes all it takes is slowing down and showing up in order to be able to listen to this voice and heed its wisdom.

We all have a soul – it’s who we are. It’s our core, our essence, our being, our light, our life. We all have this magical space inside our hearts that is connected to everything, that is pure love, that is infinite wisdom.

And it’s up to each of us to give ourselves permission to tap into this wisdom, to accept it as truth, to open up to it, and to live by it.

In all of the years that I’ve been taking dictation from my soul, I have never been led astray. The exact opposite has happened, actually. My life has absolutely opened up and expanded in such beautiful ways because I have bravely listened to and followed my soul’s voice.

But it’s taken practice to be able to trust this voice. And it’s taken practice to be able to hear it. It’s softer than a whisper, and it’s deeper than a feeling. You’ll know that you’ve reconnected with your soul when you are filled with an inner knowing that radiates light and all of the goodness in the world. You’ll know because you feel at peace and one with everything and everyone. You’ll know because you will feel pure love flowing through you.

If you haven’t already, I would love for you to get reacquainted with your soul. I would love for you to sit down and ask it what it most needs you to know right here in this exact moment. I would love for you to let it know that you’re open to receiving its love and wisdom. And you’re willing to take it into your heart fully and completely.

I would love for you to give yourself this gift of connecting with your soul. My entire life changed in such amazing ways when I did, and I know yours will as well.

Hugs,

Jodi
