"Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day there shall be to you a holy day, a sabbath of solemn rest to the Lord."
Exodus 35:2
How many times do you have to be told to do something? That's a common lament of a parent to a young child. But even when it comes directly from God, adults don't listen to their Holy Parent either. Countless references appear in the Bible commanding sabbath observance. Yet take a look around and you'll see the frantic pace of a busy "get it done now" world continues without relief. Next time the seventh day comes around, take your rest seriously. Plan for it, do it, savor it. You'll find yourself in a peaceful state of blessed contentment.
