  • 2 packages (3-ounces each) cream cheese, softened

  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt

  • 1/4 cup amaretto liqueur

  • 3 Tablespoons sugar, divided

  • 3 medium to large or 6 small fresh peaches

  • 1 Tablespoon orange juice

  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)

1.  In a medium bowl, beat together cream cheese, yogurt, Amaretto liqueur, and 2 Tablespoons of sugar until blended.  This makes one and one-half cups of sauce.
2.  Cover and chill overnight.
3.  Shortly before serving, peel and pit peaches.  Slice fairly thin.
4.  Toss with remaining sugar and orange juice. Refrigerate.
5.  At serving time, divide peaches among four dessert dishes.  Spoon Amaretto sauce over fruit.  Garnish with mint leaves.
