Combine all ingredients except ginger and sugar; fill greased muffin tins two-thirds full; sprinkle tops with ginger and sugar. Bake for 20 minutes at 350 degrees.

- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup molasses
- 2/3 cup grated cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup salad oil
- Ginger and sugar
