Topic: Albert Schweitzer once said, "In everyone's life, at some time, our inner fire goes out. It is then burst into flame by an encounter with another human being. We should all be thankful for those people who rekindle the inner spirit."  Who rekindles your inner spirit?

Each year since 2000, Beliefnet has honored a special individual (or group of individuals) with our Most Inspiring Person of the Year award. And, as in past years, we'd like your help in deciding who should receive this award. Who do you think deserves to be our Most Inspiring Person of 2007?  You may nominate celebrities, sports figures, religious and spiritual leaders, people you have heard about in the news, or your own family and friends. If you know the nominee personally, we encourage you to send photos.

What to do: Send us your nominees (you may nominate more than one person). Please include a brief description (200 words or less) of why this person is inspiring. Include specific examples of what he or she has done this year that was inspiring. Please send photos where available for use in a photo gallery Beliefnet will be putting together.

Send to: To participate, please email short responses to BeliefnetMIP2007@gmail.com. The subject line should say: "Most Inspiring Person 2007."  Please email us photos of your nominees, if available.

Deadline for submission: October 18, 2007

Please Note:

• Photos must be in .jpg or .gif format and be less than 200K.
• Include your full name, your occupation, and your city/state of residency.
• All writing must be original to you. If you are submitting a work that has been previously published, please make sure there will be no conflict before submitting to us. We just want to remind you that, per our terms of service, Beliefnet trusts that you only send material you actually own (i.e. not other people's copyrighted materials) and by sending it to us, you grant us and our editorial partners the right to use it in any form.
