Dr. Francis Collins was raised in a home that was completely void of religion. As he grew up he kept his atheist roots, and began to focus on science. He used his scientific background to disprove the Christian religion. However, he stated feeling stronger tugs towards some part of spirituality and began to doubt some of his own atheist beliefs. He had a “born-again” moment, and found that Jesus was right for his life.
