“The Bible is only a rule book.”

Some people find reading the Bible a tedious task, and just cherry pick out the lessons from inside. They focus on only the big 10 rules, and don’t think it’s worth anything more than that. People on the outside of Christianity might only see it as a rule book as well, and assume it has no other real merit. When we think like this, we don’t have any real deep connection to the holy text. The Bible is more than a rule book, it’s all about Jesus. It was designed to help flourish our relationship with Jesus and teach us about Him. The goal should not be to get to the next chapter to learn all the things you can’t do. The goal should be discovering Jesus and accepting Him into your heart.
