Live For God's Kingdom
Jesus reminded His Disciples that the Kingdom of God does not operate like the world. Ambition, pride, greed and anger rule our earthly domain, but success according to Heaven is exceptionally different. Jesus taught humility and being last is being first when it comes to living a life geared towards God. In the context of His encounter with the rich young ruler as recorded in the Book of Matthew, Jesus talked about the wealthy man who turned away because he didn't want to give up his wealth to follow the Savior. Jesus said: “Truly, I say to you, only with difficulty will a rich person enter the kingdom of heaven. Again, I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the Kingdom of God." This secret is one we tend to forget as we become consumed with temporal passions. Success God's way is always foolishness to the world.
